Drives the development and execution of strategic technological plans. Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, participating in the development of overall business strategy, and attending/contributing in Board of Director meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Directs the administration of the IT Department and their efforts, including management of the Credit Union’s information systems to ensure that member account information is secure, accessible, accurately processed/reported, and that legal and regulatory compliance is maintained. These efforts include adequate disaster recovery and business continuity efforts are in place to restore critical systems and operations.
Leads the development and evaluation of new systems, system enhancements, new technologies, and hardware or software upgrades to ensure that the Credit Union is prepared for advances being made in technology.
Oversees the management of the Credit Union’s information systems, programs, policies and procedures to safeguard the infrastructure, integrity, security and privacy of member, employee, and external business entity information entrusted to the Credit Union. Further ensures that appropriate IT governance process is in place and provides appropriate prioritization for the IT team.
Participates in organizational Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) committee. Ensures that a systematic vendor management process is followed to ensure reliability, performance, and cost competitiveness in the third parties utilized. Fosters strategic outsourcing relationships with vendors to develop and supplement technological requirements for the Credit Union’s current and future needs.
Develops and maintains effective and productive working relationships with user departments, senior managers, vendors, and direct reports. Organize, mentor, coach, observe and guide Partners to ensure effective, efficient workgroups with appropriate knowledge, authority and responsibility to carry out assigned functions. Develop the technical, supervisory, and leadership skills of subordinates as appropriate.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.
Promotes a positive relationship between the members (internal and external) and the Credit Union and understands that service delivery to members is the number one priority of the Credit Union.
Completes all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.
